Happy birthday Jack!

On December 7, 1941, Franklin Roosevelt said, “Today is a day that will live in infamy.” It may be a coincidence, but exactly one year later John Clarence Gartside was born. Happy birthday, Jack. Wish you were still with us, but in many ways you are.

    I’ll never forget Jack’s birthday party in the early 90’s…some slaoon off of Route 1 up around Saugus. Tiny Tim actually played there that night!

    Thank you very much for finding and uploading my video here. I haven’t met Mr. Jack in person but he’s been my Tying Hero. Sparrow is the magic fly and I always keep one in my vest as my lucky charm item!
