Hexagenia Gurgler The Hexagenia Emerger Gurgler is an ideal fly to use to suggest the large Hexagenia limbata nymph as it emerges and noisily sheds its shuck (now there's a tongue-twister for you).

Tied on a long-shank hook with a bright orange shell for high visibility (or a tan or black shell if you prefer darker colors), a tail of coypu, mink or rabbit strip, and a body of dubbed and picked-out specially-blended fur ribbed with tan grizzly, this is an ideal fly to use in the low-light conditions that bring about the hatch. Fish it with a twitch or a gurgle.

Colors refer to shell color not tail or body color.

Recommended Sizes:  4 FW, 6 FW,

Recommended Colors:  black/tan, mottled tan/orange, orange/tan, tan,
