Shrimp Gurgler This is the one surface fly to use when tarpon, snook, redfish or sea trout are actively feeding on shrimp. Dead-drift it in the current, twitch it occasionally to attract the attention of the fish, or retrieve it back to you in a steady movement with only occasional pauses.

This Gurgler has a much narrower shell than regular Gurglers and is tied with a tan/orange shell with tan or white bucktail and a hackle palmered over a body of flash chenille or GSS. A very lovely fly and very effective, too.

Tied on a long-shank saltwater hook, the #4 Shrimp Gurgler is approximately 3.5 inches long, the #2 approximately 4.5 inches long, and the 1/0 5 to 6 inches long.

Recommended Sizes:  1, 2, 4, 6,

Recommended Colors:  tan, tan/white,
